Kar’ka and Gand seek shelter in the cantina on Mos Shuuta in order to evade capture by Teemo the Hutts mercenaries. Failing to blend into their surroundings they blast through Teemo’s guards and escape. Hearing talk of a viable YT-1300 docked in the yards, but missing a hyperdrive, Kar’ka and Gand make there way to the junkyard. Unsuccessful dealings with the junkyard vendor leads to his death, but provide our two heros with the necessary parts to power the YT freighter. Finding the freighter, they discover its actually not abandoned, but named the Krayt Fang. As the hyperdrive is installed the former owner of the ship, a Tradoshian bounty hunter named Captain Trex intervenes. Before Trex can utter a single word he is taken out in a hail of laser fire by kar’ka and Gand. The Gand mutters, “Nothing good can come of a Tradoshian!”, in broken chirps and clicks. As they escape the planet of Tatooine in the newly acquired freighter they realize there are others aboard the ship. It turns out Captain Trex had been smuggling force sensitive children and his recent cargo had yet to be delivered. Tobin, one of the force sensitive kids, was forced to work for Trex. He used his abilities to help identify and capture other force sensitive individuals for Trex to sell. There were other Twi’leki children on board as well.
As Kar’ka boots up the hyperdrive there is a critical failure. This forces the freighter into an emergency landing on Kuat. The planet not only has a huge Imperial presence but is actually the same shipyards that produces the mighty Star Destroyer. This made the planet incredibly dangerous for Kar’ka because of his force sensitivity, thus the Gand was sent on a mission for parts. Gand finds a junk dealer who is willing to help them, even though he realizes that they are not friendly to the empire. He strikes a deal to deliver a package to Coruscant in order to have the Krayt Fang repaired.
Traveling to Coruscant, Gand and Kar’ka reveal to Tobin that his home planet of Alderan was destroyed by the Death Star, crushing his hopes of returning to his planet. On Coruscant they attempt to deliver the package to a group of criminals, realizing that they were never intended to live past the transaction. Gand and Kar’ka fight there way back to ship with the help of Tobin. As they escape Coruscant, Tobin reveals that there were more force sensitive children left behind at Mos Shuuta, urging Gand and Kar’ka to return. Thinking there might be credits involved, they set there course back to Tatooine and the space port of Mos Shuuta.
Arriving on Tatooine, Gand and Kar’ka make there way to Teemo’s Palace to gain intelligence on the missing force sensitive children. Kar’ka realizes that the Hutts have been using force sensitivity to rig there gambling games, thus making millions of credits. Kar’ka and Gand confront Teemo, demanding they release Tobin’s friends. A large firefight occurs, unfortunately downing our two heros, and leading to their imprisonment deep inside Teemo’s Palace.
As hope dwindles, there is a large explosion, and a huge whole has been blown into the side of Teemo’s Palace. A duel wielding Twi’leki bounty hunter emerges from the smoke and debris cloud. He blows away the Gamorean guards and helps Gand and Kar’ka escape. While escaping the Twi’leki’s ship is destroyed, forcing the party to return to the Krayt Fang. Tobin and the other force sensitives are left behind at the mercy of the mighty Teemo.
After escaping tatooine and sustaining massive damage to their freighter, the Twi’leki explains that he is affiliated with the crime syndicate Black Suns. He suggests returning to his home planet of Ryloth to receive aid and retool. Upon arriving the Twi’leki sets up a meeting with a Black Sun Vigo. The Vigo explains that his daughter had been kidnapped by a Captain Trax, and that he was piloting the exact ship our heros landed on Ryloth. Kar’ka explains that the ship was Trax’s but we killed and took the ship. After receiving confirmation of his death, the Vigo presents our team with a mission to return Tatooine and rescue his daughter. With their freighter repaired and retooled with weapons, the Twi’leki, Gand, and Kar’Ka return to Tatooine in search of the Vigo’s daughter.
Having realized that Teemo still had not repaired the gaping hole in his palace, the team proceeds through the “backdoor”. After a short battle, the Twi’leki, Gand, and Kar’ka, retrieve the Vigo’s daughter and find Tobin. While passing the Twi’leki’s ship rubble they heard beeping and movement under all the wreckage. The group lifts the rubble to find Battle Droid, the Twi’leki’s pilot and navigator “BX”. After BX cannibalizes the broken astromech, he is returned to functioning status and joins our heros aboard the Krayt Fang.
Our group returns Ryloth to deliver the Vigo’s daughter and collect their reward. The Vigo indicates that the mission was an audition for much larger “projects” within the Black Sun syndicate, and that the credits received were just a small taste of the fortune to be attained. The promise of such wealth lures our heros into working for the dangerous Vigo….our journey continues…
